On January 1st an ambitious project was completed on schedule at Baloise Bank SoBa to introduce the Avaloq Banking System. This is considered to be a great success for all parties. The Baloise Bank SoBa is now deploying all modules of the Avaloq Banking System. By doing so, the Bank is benefiting from a high degree of integration and a broad range of functions while at the same time achieving a high degree of automation.
A decisive factor for Baloise Bank SoBa’s choice of Avaloq was the fact that the Avaloq Banking System considerably reduces the complexity of the IT operations and that the Bank has a greater degree of flexibility in defining bank-specific processes. This speeds up the time-to-market for placing new products, for procedural adjustments and for general adaptations of the platform at the bank.
During the course of the project, Baloise Bank SoBa benefited from the COMIT team’s extensive experience in similar projects. The LeanStream® implementation methodology and the partner-based approach also contributed significantly to a successful cooperation.
Alois Müller, the Bank’s CEO says “The introduction of the Avaloq Banking Systems is a groundbreaking move for Baloise Bank SoBa. Thanks to the new banking software we reduced the number of peripheral systems. The overall system has therefore become considerably less complex. The Avaloq Banking System also has a very large range of standard interfaces to external systems, e.g. with partly or fully outsourced processes. By introducing the Avaloq Banking System we are fully equipped to face the challenges of the future.
The start-up of the implementation process of the Avaloq Banking System was managed by Comit AG. Avaloq and Comit AG have been working closely together in Switzerland for eleven years now. Comit has been premium implementation partner for the Avaloq Banking System in Switzerland since 1 July 2006.
